Brief Description:

We were awarded the project to remove the canopy entrance to BOC Crawley.

The client closed the hire and sales office whilst the works were completed, so the team had to work to strict timescales and programme.

Scope of Works

  • The team set up a restricted work area with Heras Fencing, ensuring there was access to the rear office building at all times
  • Working off scissor lifts, KpH operatives used hand tools to carefully strip the roof and outer cladding and facias into manageable section
  • The pigeon guano was carefully cleaned and safely stored for disposal to a licensed facility
  • Utilising hot cutting methods the team dismantled the purling’s and framework carefully to maintain the stability of the framework at all times. The KpH team have plenty of experience for these types of works and demonstrated that to our client throughout
  • Three of the stanchions and purling’s were removed, leaving one in place and to be refit as a lighting column by a follow on contractor
  • On completion of the works, all equipment and fencing was removed from site with waste being disposed at licensed facilities
  • The experienced team carried out the dismantling and removal to the tight programme maintaining high standards of work and health and safety before being passed back to the client
