Underground Tank Removal
|County Clean Environmental Services
KpH were approached by long standing client County Clean Environmental to provide a 3-man confined space team to assist with breaking down a build-up of fat from an interceptor chamber at a confectionary factory.
Scope of Works:
KpH deployed a 3-man confined space team to site to tackle the thick build-up of fat within the interceptor based on site at a confectionary factory. Working under BA Conditions operatives were able to enter the small interceptor and set about breaking down the fatberg.
Working in challenging conditions around a working depot, the site set up was key to the works being successful and to allow logistics to manoeuvre in and around the site.
KpH were then tasked with breaking down and removing the thick waste from the interceptor. Utilising a powerful pressure washer, the skilled team methodically broke down the fat build-up for it to be uplifted via the onsite county clean tankers, the fat that was solid in some areas of the interceptor and needed to be reduced to a liquid state.
Operatives were able to manoeuvre themselves efficiently within the confined working conditions, successfully removing all of the fatberg. KpH then jetted down and cleaned the interceptor to reduce the risk of any more contamination within the area.
Works were completed successfully within the two-day timescale and the site was handed back over to a happy client.
