The tanks were located in the basement of Carroll House which is one of three ex-council blocks (Gilroy House and Garson House) in Lancaster Gate.

Scope of Works

  • The team set up an extensive fume extraction system to allow clean air to be pumped into the space and fumes to be extracted out to the atmosphere.
  • Our skilled operatives opened up an access in the side of the tank using cold cutting techniques to allow the confined space operative entry to the tank to clean to a white rag standard
  • A gas monitor was used to continually monitor the LEL levels around the tank and take readings and recorded every 15 mins ensuring that works were carried out in the safest possible conditions
  • The lines were drained down and flushed through, all washings were uplifted by a vacuum tanker
  • The tanks were hot cut into suitable size sections for removal from site
  • The experienced team carried out the dismantling and removal to a high standard with no complaints or damage
  • All waste was safely and successfully removed from the site and all disposal paperwork was handed over to the client on completion
